my parents are celebrating their wedding anniversary (which supposedly be celebrated a week ago).guess what kakanda presenting adinda kasumi dewi?

buku mari menjahit langsir!ahhaha..sungguuh tak kelakar.bagi la jam emas ke, manik koran ke, tiket pelancongan ke magribi ke.ini...buku sewing in no time!(nih tajuk buku dia).well then, i guess the novelty of giving jewelry, perfumes n stuffs like that are no longer practical according to my parents' book.they rather give what the other half , wants.like, few days back, my mum was browsing thru the internet, mumbling sth about wanting to find any webpage displaying styles of curtains.(eventho, eventually surf gosip artis gak..mak aku terer pasal gosip artis mesia wehhh).

tengok, hari nih dpt buku mari menjahit.esok, sah sah dia ajak pi nagoya textile.hehhee...

while i was slugging ineffectively infront of the pc, chatting, my mum shrieked and called me to help her out.duhh, back in the kitchen, mok was sushied by mud and air lonkang!geramnya!!dah satu kerja nak basuh dia.u see, mok is half persian, half local male cat my. family own and adore to death (esp my sis aten).tapi ni aku rasa kucing pondan.upon being threaten by another male cat, he wud rather sneak back inside the kitchen rather than fighting back, or doin what he does best...jumping into a reeking drain full of water.kunun kunun mcm nak selamatkan diri la dari kena cakar kucin jantan lain tu.knowing what he did was wrong, he steer clear from my mum's eyes.tahu je mak aku nak ambik dia nak basuh cukup cukup.

we washed him vigorously, head to toe with the pest shampoo.ikut mak aku, dia nak mandikan pakai sunlight je..ahahha panik betol cikgu inson ni.

kena mandikan pun, tetapppppppp bau longkang.aiyaa!!!

dah tak rasa sengal sengal sangat, and the most important thing is i dun have to rely on the painkillers anymore, or the braces wax for the matter.

the sole problem is still on the food issue.seriously. i am getting tired of having to dig mysef into another bowl of bubur.or yogurt.or anything gooey.

yey....finally!the chance to rejuvenate and do nothing.an ultimate freedom to wake up late and be a lazybum.i am on my semester break, and nuthin more perfect than spending time in ur hometown.i spent most of the time yesterday running errands (seronotnya duduk kat perlis ni is that one place to another is like bak hembusan angin bayu je..dekat cenonet...u dun have to fight the traffic!), like paying my overdue streamyx bill, buying groceries, bla bla bla.
itu hari pertama ya.
and when it comes to the next day, i am hopeless.
feel like doin work, like goin to classes, meeting my students.

mengada ngada betul pompuan ni.org bagi cuti baru tergedik nak rasa workaholic kekdahnya.ahhahahahahhaha...

alhamdulilah...everything settled!
for these past 2 weeks, only god knows how much i dreaded for the brace processes.contemplating, debating whether i have the bravery n guts to actually go and seek for the treatment.i met the doctor for the final time today, which marking the final stage of wearing braces.first, he pulled out the blue ring band being placed in between my wisdom tooth (lega rasanya, kalau tak sakit betul kena geraham atas n bawah kalau kacip mulut), and in replacement, he placed the molar band.molar band is like the anchor that going to hold the archwire (the thin wire horizontally places across ur teeth).thank god for the blue rubber band, i dun feel much discomfort for the molar band since the blue band already create some spaces for the molar.
then comes the fun part of all!!painting ur braces (ye aku mengada ngada, nak je experimental dengan semua kaler yg ada).ligating modules (the colored band to tighten the bracket) that i choose are..pink n blue!ingat nak try purple, but the purple are bit dark for my liking (turns out that dark purple will show ur braces even better...harusla dgn niat aku nak menayang braces kan?hahahah..takpee...i get all 24 months to do all the colors)
the aftertaste?well..since i have the slight discomfort with the ulcers, i tink having the ligating modules and the wires are not that bad, but maybe pressure within the tooth sumhow bring the minor soreness (tink of widely stretched teeth, rasa mcm nak tercabut gigi..ha macam tu la perasaan dia).

but....

the most unbearable pain is still...

tooth extraction!

patutlah rasa badan lembek, cakap pun malas, nak bergerak pun lembab, rupa rupanya dalam bangganya mulut aku nih dah tumbuh ulcers!!

not one, but almost 3.The cause of it?tink of the metal braces go pressing against the soft part of ur gums.that's the cause.cudnt find where i place bonjela, so have to opt for a traditional remedy it seems

letak garam la apa lagi. ada la rasa nak meraung mcm serigala.

well..well..well...what do we have here?a set of chomps full of metal bracket and two missing tooth, that's it!yesterday's visit to dr ling most probably be the longest hours i spent with a dentist, the one i dared not to meet the last few months.ahha..!i went there at 930 am, only being told later the appoinment was actually set at 1pm!bummer!!!nak lepak mana pulak kan, kuar umah pun selebet je.yela, the only purpose of goin out was to go ling's.got our breakfast at mamak, pusing pusing east coast, pekena baskin's robbins (yang ko pekena aiskrim sebelum jumpa doktor gigi tuh kejadah apanya, ngeng?kan dah kena gosok gigi diam diam dalam toilet eastcoast!) and then later headed back to ling's.

sunday's plan was to put the metal bracket, there were few times (which i was actually cringed everytime the doc said aaahh..!, coz i knew sumthing went wrong.phobia okeh), when the glue or shud i say the cement bond wont stick to the bracket properly, resulting with the tooth being cleaned n 'trimmed' again.needless to say, 'that' process alone took almost 1 1/2 hour.dah la aku nak terkencing..tahan je la.dr ling put the cement bond, the bracket on it and hardened it with the light blue saber torch (okeh, yang ni aku buat kelakar bodoh.tapi betul torch dia kaler biru)

then, came the most unbearable part, the tooth extraction.u see, i got 4 good, non problematic tooth that need to be pulled out just to give way for my ungood, problematic front tooth(my central incisor, gigi kapak tu setengah org panggil).after 6 sharp stabs of anasthetic, he pulled out the first premolar, and later the lower molar.the initial one was ok, sekali cabut je dapat ngan root skali (mcm tarik ubi kayu je aku rasa).the lower molar, astagfirullah..sakit okeh!my tooth broke into two, dr ling only managed to take out the upper part of the tooth, leaving the rest still intact with the gum.aiyayayaya...senang cerita, gigi aku patah dua.tak minum susu pun gigi kuat weh.the he he..:) .ok not funny.almost 10 mins, he was actually wrestling just to get the rest of the tooth out, lenguh aku rasa pipi kena siku ngan dr ling.and yes, the pain is consciously felt.up till this morning, i spit blood still.

duhh...got 2 more tooth to go for today's appointment.dan belum lagi letak archwire dia tuh.nitemarish betol!

odontalgia

my teeth are kinda aching at the mo', must be from the blue ring band dr ling placed in between of the tooth.i cant eat, barely eating actually and cud only muster chomping on soft food and the less chewable, better it wud be.azlin said this is normal, u know, since the the teeth need to make gaps between one another for the bracket and metal bands to be filled later on.so far, the only food gotten into my growling stomach were bubur nasi and roti, and i dun even chew it!!like i said, aching okay!gosh, i missed being a carnivore.
oh, even my speech starting to slur.hahahha

tooth filling

my students are having their exam fever, and being the last 2 weeks marked in the calendar for their stay here, i know im gonna miss them more than i tink.there are bunch of kids, well almost all, that i find really engaging.well, guess all the good things never stay.shud be ready with the new bunch next sem then:).

since we lecturers are having our days off (literally, since there got classes no more..yippey!), i went to see Dr Ling (my dentist).the job?to treat the 'gigi berlubang' (demmit i forgot the words for it!).oh yea, the word is tooth restoration.didn't hurt much as i expected, but the sound of the drilling..OMG!.and my head been spinning right after that, post drilling.2 of my teeth are then filled, and gotta see the doc again for the next 2 teeth.funny was..since i was sleepy right before i came for a visit, i even doozed off for minutes when dr ling left me alone in the dental room.mengantuk sgt sgt!scheduling my next filling on thursday, since sunday sum of the tooth gotta go.aiyayayaya!

went and got the cake we ordered from secret recipe next to ling's clinic.esok ada makan makan ..kinda of goin away makan makan for yenny.she got transferred to perak.last stop was to hunt for a coffee at old town..macam biasala, tak penahnya tidak nak berenti kat sini.

On the third day of April, i am officially...

having my trip to the dentist and doing my first ever step to wearing braces!!

tepuk! tepuk! tepuk! (i've encountered my worst biggest fear y'all.~~:)

well, not much really being done for the initial visit, basically just checking, scalling and creating the mould of my set of chompers.The mould..blerrghh..got this weirdest taste, like sumone shoving plasticine in your mouth.terjeluak aku kejap.
